This course provided me with valuable tools to use in my upcoming career as a conservation officer for the Maryland Natural Resources Police. I had no idea how to thoroughly read a person’s language and body language to detect truth or deception prior to taking this course. Having you Jeff, a retired and decorated conservation officer teach the course really helped in relating the information and scenarios to the class. The parts of the course that really stood out and should continue to be part of the course are the real interrogations on video and tape that we got to see and hear and the truth/deception scenarios involving role players telling stories. You are also an excellent instructor Jeff and your enthusiasm only benefited how well your teachings were understood by the class. We clearly need more than 32 hours of instruction in order to become anywhere near proficient in the techniques you taught us, but you gave us a solid foundation of knowledge that we can build off of as we start our career. Thank you! I will be sure to share with you any experiences with interviews or interrogations that I have which may be valuable examples for you to share with future courses.
